Last Chance to Catch Portland's 'Trek in the Park' for Free

August 21, 2012 at 2:16 PM | by | ()

This weekend is your last chance to catch Trek in the Park at Cathedral Park in Portland, OR. Each summer a dedicated group of Portland theater geeks come together to perform a classic episode of Star Trek before a live audience.

This year's episode is Journey To Babel, in which Captain Kirk learns Ambassador Sarek and his human wife Amanda are Spock’s parents.

The series has become so popular it's been featured on an episode of IFC's Portlandia and recently had to move to a new location to accommodate growing audiences.

The final two performances of Trek In The Park: Journey To Babel will take place Saturday, August 25, and Sunday, August 26 at 5:00 PM. The shows are completely free, no tickets are necessary. But, if you want a good seat, get there early and don't forget it's BYOB (bring your own blanket).
