Passengers flying from coast to coast Down Under can now enjoy a little more comfort when tackling the nearly 5-hour flight. With the addition of larger aircraft plus free meals and drinks, Virgin Australia is wooing passengers to fill planes from Perth to Melbourne.

Next month, the Australian airline will only fly Airbus A330s on between the two cities. These internationally configured aircraft will also be doing their thing more frequently between Perth and Sydney.

Travelers on these large birds will also get free hot meals regardless of cabin or fare class purchased. Virgin is also getting in on the happy hour fun after midday as passengers will even be offered free alcoholic drinks of their choice (of course depending on what's stocked onboard).

Larger planes, free meals and drinks...what more can you ask for? After all, this isn't news you'll hear coming from an American carrier because we're way beyond the free-anything in Economy stage.

Oh wait, what about In-flight entertainment? Virgin has thankfully thought of this; all passengers will have access to the touchscreen entertainment system for free for the duration of their flight. Really the only thing left to do is sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.
