August will be the month for a little more expansion as Smile adds flights from the Thai capital to Surat Thani and Krabi twice daily and 4x daily, respectively. To Surat Thani, passengers will expect to pay around $150 for an economy round-trip while Krabi will be about $10 more expensive. Not bad a 75-minute flight.
Thai Smile will be expanding operations to more popular cities in October, with expansion to Chang Mai and Phuket. Trips to the cultural city of Chang Mai will set you back around $140, where flights to the beaches of Phuket will be around $170.
While the airline is finding its wings, flights will operate under the parent airline Thai Airways, but will eventually claim their own identity. Smile will offer passengers complimentary Smile Packs, but if you are feeling more peckish, an expansive, buy-on-board menu, Smile Cafe, is available in economy class.
