United rolled their very first Dreamliner out of the Boeing buildings a couple of weeks ago just outside Seattle and, though the airline will take home to their hangars next month, commercial flights don't just immediately begin.
One of the first routes to see the new plane is probably going to be the new option between Denver and Tokyo; however, this probably won’t be the first route since it's not happening until March of 2013. The other option would be a nonstop between Houston and Auckland, NZ, but there's some rumbling that United is thinking about cancelling that one before it even begins.
Other options include using the plane between Houston and Lagos, Nigeria. We’ve also heard that they might just be interested in flying all the way over to India or Australia, but those are just rumors at this point. Overall United has been somewhat tightlipped regarding their new route details with this new plane, but you know we’ll fill you in as soon as we know more.
Honestly, with the 787, we’d be happy to just fly between Chicago and Houston.
