Leinenkugel’s is naturally a cornerstone of the Pure Water Days festival, sponsoring a series of races on Saturday along with the YMCA. There’s a half-marathon, a four-mile run and a bunch of other walk/race options depending on your age and running ability. There are also brewery tours and fire sales on Leinenkugel’s apparel—both the drinking and the wearing kind.
After the YMCA races, head over to the North Star Chapter Beer Can and Brewerania Show (I have no idea what brewerania is, honestly, but it sounds boozy and fun), where you can buy, sell, trade, and ogle drinking paraphernalia. There’s also the Pure Water Days parade, which starts at 1pm downtown. Oh, and don’t forget to hit the Duck Splash Festival with the kids, which isn’t so much a separate festival but a nearby field where they can bounce around in inflatable castles while you partake of local vendors.
Three words: fried cheese curds.
For history buffs, many of the mansions and museums are open for tours. And after you’ve done all that, there’s a fireworks show that night at local Casper Park. See you there—and bottoms up!
