At Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport the new refill stations have been installed over existing water fountains in both Concourses A and T. It’s all part of a pilot program to reduce waste and encourage passengers and travelers to BYOB. We’re thinking that if things catch on airport officials will be hard at work installing the dispensers in the airport’s other concourses as well.
Surprisingly Coca-Cola seems cool with the idea, because after all their sugary sweet beverage headquarters is right up the interstate. Apparently they don’t oppose the things, "as long as people have a choice," which to us means as long as a 20-ounce Diet Coke is always within reach. Either way it’s good to know that there’s a sanitary place to fill up your Nalgene or Sigg at the airport. Now if they would just add a free Coke refill station, we'd be all set.
