New Airline Alert: EZ Jet

Have you ever heard of EZ Jet? We’re not talking about the LCC that flies to pretty much everywhere across Europe, but we want to discuss another cheap carrier that does plenty of flying between New York-JFK and the Caribbean. Apparently we missed the initial announcement back in December—our bad—but if you’re looking to head to Trinidad or Guyana it's definitely worth checking out.

It’s one of those public charter kind of airlines, but that really doesn’t matter too much. Just be aware that a cancelled flight is probably not going to get you an available seat on another airline. They may be cheap with fares as low as $550 round trip between JFK and Guyana, but it sounds like they’re trying their best to provide some creature comforts as well.

Included in your ticket is a complimentary meal, and you even have the chance to check up to two free bags. The plan is to fly back and forth several times per week between the two cities and countries, and it looks like all the flying is done thanks to a Boeing 767—complete with a little bit of in-flight entertainment. They’ve even got some sort of frequent flyer program—they’re Jet Points—and you can even check-in online.

EZ Jet even has a smart phone app, and they promise to beat any competitors matched price on airfare. So if you need to be in Guyana—or New York—it might just be worth checking out one of the options from EZ Jet.
