How Target's Bulldog Flies Delta First Class
Update 4:30pm: Even Delta's loving it. They've just posted their own photo of Bullseye on their Facebook page.
Celebrity traveler alert! This morning, a few passengers onboard a Delta flight from Chicago-O'Hare to Minneapolis tweeted their intense excitement over brushing the shoulder of Bullseye, Target's spokesdog bull terrier. They should all be in the air right now, as we type this, and apparently the pooch is sitting pretty in First Class for the domestic flight. This, however, shouldn't come as much of a surprise.

It also shouldn't be a big shocker that Bullseye flies Delta, since this October 2011 New York Times piece on a bulldog travel ban shares that the airline has classified Bullseye a "high-profile animal," meaning he gets the A-OK to have his own seat within the cabin. Another Delta high-profile four-legged flyer? Uga, bulldog mascot of the University of Georgia.
In an odd coincidence, we actually hung out with Bullseye yesterday as she was in town on official business for the opening of the first CityTarget in the United States. And we can tell you that she 100% deserves that seat in First Class, even if it's just domestic First. Bullseye spent all day yesterday posing for photos with local politicians, CEOs, journalists and hundreds of Target's newest employees.
Her daily walks may have taken place turning heads on State Street, but she was totally well cared for by a team of dedicated Bullseye handlers. Bullseye heads to Target HQ in Minneapolis today and then eventually back to her home in LA, and we hope she enjoys the view, as she's obviously a window-seat-only kind of doggy.
