· Virgin Atlantic:
Next year still seems like a long way away, but Virgin Atlantic is already hard at working thinking about what to do once 2013 rolls around. The carrier is planning to link London with Moscow beginning next year, although at this time the details seem to be somewhat limited.

We do know that the flights should be a daily option, and that they’ll be using some of those brand-y new Airbus A330s for all the flying fun. Virgin Atlantic still needs to get approval from the government, and it sounds like they’ll also need to secure the necessary slots at London-Heathrow. However, for now, it seems like all systems are go for a London to Moscow takeoff at some point next year.

· ANA:
They may not be utilizing some of those new Boeing 787s on these new routes, but of course we’re still interested in where All Nippon Airways is planning to head next. ANA is set to launch a couple of new international routes, connecting Tokyo-Narita with Yangon, Myanmar beginning on October 15. A couple weeks later they’ll once again be flying out of Tokyo-Narita as they look to offer up a nonstop option over to Delhi, India starting on October 28. Tickets for the new flights went on sale earlier this week, so if you’ll be in the neighborhood check out these new routes in person.

· Southwest / AirTran:
When it comes to flights down to Florida it seems like there’s never enough of them, and now Southwest is getting ready to add even more. Technically all the flying fun will be done thanks to the planes and pilots over at AirTran, but we all know that Southwest is kind running the show behind-the-scenes.

There will be as many as four more nonstop options between Baltimore and Ft. Lauderdale starting at the beginning of September. Between the two carriers there’s up to 10 flights each day between the two cities and, with one-way fares starting at $59, it might be worth testing one of them out.
