Speaking of Beer, LaGuardia's Getting a Biergarten!

July 10, 2012 at 12:48 PM | by | ()

We said it once recently (and you didn't totally believe us), but New York's LaGuardia Airport is slowly transforming from "not" to "hot."

LaGuardia will never be anywhere on the level of Seoul-Inchean, Hong Kong or Singapore-Changi, but for an American airport...it's shaping up. The reason? Huge investment and renovation done by Delta. Recently we flew US Airways through Terminal C and noticed the "in-progress" works were coming along. The new Delta SkyClub hasn't opened yet, but we're far more excited about the Biergarten coming to the Terminal C food court.

Run by OTG Management, the new biergarten is due to have 24 taps with seasonal rotations, craft offerings, local favorites and some international imports to get you in the mood to get traveling. The selection of beers will be developed by Brooklyn Brewery man Garrett Oliver. Winos need not worry; it'll also have cocktails and 16 wines available by glass.

Opening date: Soonish? No idea, but we'll let you know when we know.
