It's no secret that Singapore-Changi International Airport is one of our personal favorite airports, in addition to being consistently ranked as one of the world's top three. Just this week, a friend had her first visit to Changi and, though only transferring flights with a few hours to spare, she decided to visit all the gardens and koi fish ponds.

Just as Changi does an airport right, they also excel at tallying up their operations into impressive facts and figures. Today they sent along a lengthy slew of such stats, but we've narrowed 'em down to just the most "whoah." Memorize them and awe your friends with your airport knowledge...or don't. Either way, enjoy:

· Changi serves some 100 airlines flying to over 220 cities in about 60 countries and territories worldwide
· 46,543,845 passengers passed through the airport's terminals last year, which equals the population of the country of Spain
· 56 million bags were handled last year by the airport, which, stacked, equals 24,000 times the height of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai
· There are 10,000 baggage trolleys available for passengers, free of charge
· The butterfly garden holds 1,000 butterflies and is the only garden of that nature in the airport world
· Changi Airport offers more than 550 complimentary internet kiosks
· The airport handles more than 6,200 flights each week, or one every 100 seconds
· Changi Airport is the world’s busiest multi-carrier A380 hub with more than 210 A380 flights each week
· Changi Airport handles more than 70,000 bags a day, rain or shine
· Changi Airport employs a 28,000 strong workforce --- the airport is a city within a city!
· Terminal 3’s unique main building roof has 919 skylight openings – to allow natural sunlight into the terminal building while keeping the heat out
· Total Land Area at Changi Airport is approximately 3,212 acres which equates to approximately 3,000 football fields
