Wes Anderson's Moonrise Kingdom is getting rave reviews for creating for a dream-like, nostalgic world that revolves around two twelve years who run away in the 1960's.

Much of the movie is set at Camp Ivanhoe, located on a fictional island off of New England, where the Khaki camp troop spends their summer. This idyllic summer camp setting is not only reminding many adults of their own childhood camp experience, but prompting them to recreate it.

Wilderness Awareness School, located near Duvall, WA, is just one program offering adults a weeklong camping experience where they can learn outdoor survival skills, just like they did in their scouting days.

But campers shouldn't expect to be sitting around a campfire and singing kumbaya. This program combines classroom instruction and time in the field to hone some serious outdoor and wilderness survival skills.

The NatureSkills camp takes place July 15-21 and costs $785 including food and camping. For more information, visit WildernessAwareness.org.
