Is a Private Jet to the London Olympics Doable?

June 28, 2012 at 4:30 PM | by | Comments (0)

Well well well, it's about time we heard about ridiculously over-the-top packages to attend the London 2012 Olympics. This just hit our inbox: $69,900 private jet packages, including Olympics events tickets, Cotswolds hotel stays and helicopter transfers. You'd be flying in a Gulfstream IV, so Magellan Jets, the company behind the offer, has broken it down into per person rates:

· $5,895 per person from NYC or Connecticut to London's Brize Norton Airport
· $6,900 per person from Boston or Washington DC to London's Brize Norton Airport

When you think about it that way...the pricing makes complete sense. First, because you won't be worrying about paying the already-high airfare for prime Olympics travel dates. Second, you'll be skipping the annoying uber-long immigration lines at Heathrow and any mingling with coach passengers. Third, no worrying about scrounging for Olympic event tickets and good hotel reservations this late in the game. Get enough like-minded people together, and it's (shockingly) a doable deal. Pop da champers, ya'll.

More details here. If you got an extra seat on that PJ though, you know where to find us.
