Forget about buying Middle Sister Island. For the low low price of just €2.5 million, you can buy your very own Italian town. The Tuscan village of Pratariccia dates from the Middle Ages and contains about 25 cottages.

The town emptied out when the local agricultural community bailed to take factory work in the cities. And you won't even have to pay a broker fee on this one: the listing is up on eBay, although you will have to know Italian or keep Google Translate on the ready.
