After a shaky economic year, Greece is ready to lure back leery travelers and they're looking for volunteers to help out.

The Greek National Tourism Organization has just launched TrueGreece.org, a new website created to recruit volunteer travelers willing to spread the good word about Greece through social media.

Volunteers will be selected to "monitor negative comments about Greece and respond in order to restore inaccuracies and misinformation, enhance the country's image through positive mentions on Social Media and provide tips, and tourist oriented information."

Among the fun facts these volunteers will be writing about on Facebook and Twitter are the current reduced tour and hotel rates in Athens, many are 20% lower than they were the same time last year.

If you're a Greek enthusiast interested in spreading the word, you can apply to be a "True Supporter" at TrueGreece.org.
