How to Score Free Tickets to TropFest New York, Hosted by Hugh Jackman

Tropfest, known as "the world's largest short film festival", is coming to New York City and you can be a part of the fun - for free.

Tropfest began in Sydney, Australia 20 years ago and now receives thousands of submissions for its film festivals held in Australia, Arabia, Abu Dhabi, and other locations around the world.

Tropfest's main event in NYC will be hosted by Hugh Jackman and feature a celebrity panel - including Jennifer Westfeldt, Rose Byrne, and Judah Friedlander - announcing the fest's winners live.

Tropfest New York will take place on Saturday June 23, 2012 at New York City’s Bryant Park. Though tickets are free, Tropfest suggests registering for your space on Event Brite first and arriving at the park between 3:0 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. The gates open at 3, with live music/DJs performing in the afternoon and the short film competition kicking off at 7.30 p.m. They also suggest bringing a blanket since all seating is on the grass.
