We approached the bar and it's 85+ different bottles of whiskey.
"What whiskey would you recommend to a new arrival who wanted to taste something nice?"
The bartender at the First Class Terminal admits that while Johnnie Walker Blue Label is the most popular, he'd go with this 16-year Scottish single malt: Lagavulin. This is not to be mixed with Coke or anything else; it's only to be savored, preferably while sitting at this very bar, drinking that very relaxing pre-flight booze, and feeling that all is now well in the world.
Disclosure: We're traveling on the 747-8 first flight as a guest of Lufthansa, but all photos and opinions here are completely our own..
