Star Trek fans will get a chance to spend ten days exploring some of the sites made famous by the TV series and movies with fellow Trekkies this summer.

Geek Nation Tours (yes, there is a tour company specializing in geek-related itineraries) has teamed up with Star Trek author, historian, consultant and producer, Larry Nemecek for “Exploring Trek Sites: Hollywood to Vegas With Larry Nemecek.”

The tour begins on Saturday, August 4th, and will travel to famous Star Trek filming locations in and around Los Angeles like the Griffith Observatory, Santa Monica Pier, Paramount Studios, Grauman’s Chinese Theatre and Vasquez Rocks County Park. The trip will finish at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, just in time for the Official Star Trek Convention is taking place on August 9th - 12th. And to think—you can roll up to the convention having already made like-minded friends on the tour.

According to Geek Nation Tours' Teras Cassidy, the tour addresses the company's real mandate which is "to give people the opportunity to revel in their Geekiness and to travel the globe seeking those things that they love to do, joined by like-minded persons who are just as interested in that specific geeky thing. So it’s not only a holiday vacation but also the chance to develop long-lasting friendships.”

The complete package cost $2,499.00 CAD, based on double occupancy. For more information, visit GeekNationTours.com.
