Last week Boeing was excited to reveal the first finalized plane out of their South Carolina factory. It was all smiles at the time of the 787’s debut, but in the past the place has been more of a headache. It's this factory that's caused a couple delays here and there over the past few years, and there was recently a bit of a snag that almost cost the company and the 787 a couple more hiccups.
Boeing is looking to roll at least 10 planes off the assembly line each month by the end of 2013, and the plant in Charleston is expected to be accountable for at least three of them every thirty days or so. As long as both factories continue to pump out the planes on a regular basis, we’ve got no complaints.
