It seems hard to believe but the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have already been married a year. Yesterday, the couple quietly enjoyed some downtime on their anniversary after a whirlwind year of worldwide travel.

Instead of heading off on a romantic honeymoon, Kate and Wills spent the first couple of weeks following their wedding in Anglesey, off of northwest Wales, where William was working as a search-and-rescue helicopter pilot at the Royal Air Force Valley base.

When the couple did finally find time for a honeymoon, they slipped away to the Seychelles in the Indian Ocean. They reportedly spent ten days in a £4,000-a-night villa where they took "a surprise sunset cruise" and enjoyed "a champagne picnic on one of the island’s most secluded beaches."

In July, Will and Kate visited the Northwest Territories of Canada and tried out kayaking, street hockey and teepee living while munching on smoked caribou.

After keeping it real with the Canadians, they took a detour through Hollywood on their way home, saving some time to mingle with handpicked guests like Tom Hanks and Barbara Streisand at a BAFTA gala.

Earlier this year, William was deployed to the Falkland Islands for several weeks and, even though he was there alone, he seemed to make the most of it. Locals reported seeing William pay a visit to a local hospital and spend time on the remote Sea Lion Island, a haven for penguins, sea lions, elephant seals.

Of course, the day he returned, Kate was at the airport waiting for his 4:00am flight.

Here's to another year of international travel for the royal couple!
