What's in Your Dopp Kit, Max?

Last season, we showed you what we (and some other notable travelers) pack in a carry-on. Now it's time to get personal. The intrepid contributors here at Jaunted will open our dopp kits and cosmetic cases to reveal what keeps us looking so damn good.

Hi, my name is Max Graham and I travel weekly all over the world to perform as a DJ. It's almost a fact that DJs spend more time in the air than anyone (outside airline employees) and coupling that with life in hotels and late nights means it’s important to care for my skin. I never used to do much more than a simple face wash, but recently I upgraded products and have noticed huge improvements, especially after weekends of excessive travel and dry air.

The bag: This one is from MUJI, a Japanese brand with an excellent selection of cool and functional accessories for travelers. The clear pouch allows for easy in and out from my carry on while navigating security, and it’s an easy wash too. I also have a cool black bag from United's First Class, but as it’s not see-through, it has instead become my hot sauce/gum/eye mask/Advil bag.

My products are a mixture of Pro-Derm (a local company from Montreal), Malin + Goetz, Osmotics, Dermalogica and SkinCeuticals. I wouldn’t have known anything about these products if not for a friend who owns a luxury cosmeceuticals boutique near my place in Montreal. It's called “Etiket," more like "etiquette" and not "E-Ticket" as us travel types would think.

The contents:

Back Row: The four bottles in the back row are the parent containers from which I transfer the product into the MUJI portable containers in front of them.
· Blue Jar: Osmotics “Blue Copper Five” day/night cream
· Tall pump: Osmotics “Crease Less” (targets puffy late night eyes)
· Large bottle: Pro-Derm “Gentle Cleanser”
· Pump: Malin + Goetz shaving cream

Second Row:
· Razor. I still love the 2-blade Sensor Excel over the new 3-blade razors and hope they never stop making the blades for it!
· Colgate Total
· White Jar: Pro Derm day cream
· Nivea SPF 30 Lip Balm
· Malin + Goetz Shampoo from their $35 travel pack with all their products.
· Green Dropper: SkinCeuticals “Phyto Corrective Gel” (reduces redness and irritation)
· Malin + Goetz samples as backup
· Malin + Goetz deodorant
· Dermalogica “Daily Resurfacer” exfoliant finger mitt!
· Pro-Derm Day Cream SPF20

So, what do you stuff in your toiletry kit—or what do I just need to have in mine? Let us—and me—know, below.
