To celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Summer of 1982, which featured an unequaled number of great movies, the Alamo Drafthouse of Austin, TX has announced plans to recreate the movie release schedule of that legendary season.

The series will include Conan the Barbarian, The Road Warrior, Rocky III, Poltergeist, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, E.T., The Thing and TRON. They are currently in negotiations to screen Blade Runner as well.

Working with the editors of eight top movie websites, including Slashfilm, Collider and Film School Rejects, who all regard the summer of '82 as highly influential in their appreciation of movies, Drafthouse will show the films on the same weekends they originally opened.

In addition to screening these iconic films, the Drafthouse will also show trailers from 1982, sell limited-edition posters for the films, and bring together special guests at select screenings.
