Now, we know what you're thinking: "airport pool? groossssss." Yeah well, we had the same initial reaction until we saw it for ourselves. This pool, while basic, is nicely appointed with several little cabana beds on one side, many chaise lounges on the other, cushioned seats complete with tables stocked with paperback books and magazines, a full poolside bar, and a sliver of glass wall with a commanding view over a portion of the tarmac.
Unfortunately we didn't give in to the temptation to swim because, with 22+ hours of travel ahead of us, keeping a damp swimsuit (even in a plastic bag) in our squashed-tight luggage didn't seem so appealing. Now, if our hop from Changi was far shorter, like say to Hong Kong or even Tokyo, then yeahyou'd catch us napping in the sun after a quick dip because really...it's kind of unforgivable to skip an airport pool if you have the time and the swimwear at the ready.

The pool entrance...air lock?
Disclosure: We were a guest of Singapore Airlines for the flights to/from Singapore, but all Changi exploring & spending was completely on our own and uninfluenced.
