Disney World's Revamped Fantasyland Will Have You Drinking Wine and Sitting in Clamshells

If thereís a family vacation to Disney World in the cards this winter, youíre in luck as Mickey and friends have been hard at work all year long to get things spiffed up for the season. Weíre not just talking about the lights, decorations, and ubiquitous Christmas trees, but thereís a revamped and renovated Fantasyland now available to the masses. They didnít figure out how to eliminate the line for Dumbo, but at least now you can score a drink afterwards.

A lot of the old stuff is still there so donít worry if you just canít live without the musical boat ride thatís known as "It's a Small World." They still have thatóand the songóbut there are two new areas within Fantasyland that will keep the big and little kids happy.

Up first is Enchanted Forest, which includes a brand new ride based on The Little Mermaid. Hop into your very own clamshell, and then youíre off to see what Ariel and her underwater pals have been up to. Thereís also plenty of new stuff from Beauty and the Beast including a new restaurantóBe Our Guest Restaurantówhere you can actually order wine with dinner.

Storybook Circus is the second half of the additions and upgrades to Fantasyland, and hereís where you can find a brand new roller coaster dedicated to our old pal Goofy. Dumbo The Flying Elephant is back and better than ever, and thereís even a new stop for the Walt Disney World Railroad. That means a quick escape over to other parts of the park when it gets just too darn crowded.

This isnít it either when it comes to Walt Disney World and their Fantasyland section of the park, as the upgrades are scheduled to continue through 2014. Up next is Princess Fairytale Hall, which will be a fancy meet-and-great with the Disney characters. After that the seven dwarfs get their very own attraction, as Seven Dwarfs Mine Train will be the final piece of the expansion. Lots of stuff ready to go (and yet in the pipeline) for both the kiddos and adults, but just bring lots of patience. Itís going to be packed.
