Norwegian is beginning their long-haul flights in May of next year, and as of right now the tickets for sale include New York-JFK over to both Oslo and Stockholm. When searching for your flights try to use the website’s “Show Low Fare Calendar” to see some more options, and be sure to scroll down to New York if you’re departing or heading to the United States—it’s not highlighted like some of the other destinations.
Finally, if flying with Norwegian is in your future you might be interested in what you’re getting once aboard, as this is going to be operated like a low-cost carrier. It will probably be a tad cramped in the rear of the cabin, but they are going with the traditional three-across seating system in economy. It sounds like food and drink might be included in your ticket price, but there may be a charge for their version of in-flight entertainment.
Clearly they’re focused on selling seats first, and figuring out the rest later—and for now, that’s kind of fine with us. We're sure more transportation tidbits will be shared in the coming months, and we'll be sure to keep you posted.
