Palm Springs Props and Hops – Palm Springs, California
We’re not trying to double book you for this upcoming weekend, but if you have time on Saturday it’s best to make your way out to Palm Springs, California. Airplanes and alcohol will be the starring attractions at the Palm Springs Props and Hops Craft Beer Conclave, and it’s all happening on November 10 at the Palm Springs Air Museum.
Ass Kisser Ales, Donkey Punch Brewing Company, and Hanger 24 are just some of the breweries scheduled to roll out their taps and kegs to the event. It’s $30 per person for general admission access to plenty of sips and samples, and there will even be food trucks like Short Stop BBQ and Devilicious on hand to fill you up when the beer munchies strike. Best of all one attendee will even score a ticket off to the Great American Beer Festival in Denver, so there will be more sudsy sips to be had for the lucky winner.
Bathtub Beer Fest - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Finally there’s a beer festival going on this month where you can learn a little history while you relax with a pint of porter. Doing its thing along side an exhibit on prohibition over at the National Constitution Center is the Bathtub Beer Fest in Philadelphia. Organizers promise things a little out of the ordinary, as they’re set to display both old-fashioned styles and new varieties.
Admission will set you back $45 in advance, and you’re then free to take in the tastes and offerings from breweries like Fegley's Brew Works, Flying Fish, and Neshaminy Creek. Afterwards stumble on over to the center’s prohibition exhibit, as it’s included—like a $17 value—in your beer festival ticket.
