Not only can you look in at the models through the windows (as plenty were doing yesterday), but you can go inside to get a feel for the cabin, sit in the seat, have a play with the controls and see how it shapes up to your normal flight standard. Meets the grade? Staff can escort you over to Harrods’ Abercrombie & Kent branch, on the floor below, where they’ll book you a flight, or woo you with a special 10-night itinerary of Singapore and Cambodia, designed especially for this event.
It’s all in honor of the launch of Singapore’s fourth daily service from London nonstop to Singapore. The installation began last Sunday and ends November 10, and you’ll find it in windows 3 & 4, next to Harrods door 9.
On November 3, 4 and 10, between 3.30-5.30pm, there’ll even be champagne and chocolate tastings. Then, possibly, caviar dreams.
