No Comic Con Badge Necessary to Get Your Geek On in NYC
With thousands of geeks invading New York City for New York Comic Con, there are plenty of other comic-themed events planned around town this weekend.
Here's a look at a few geeky festivities you don't need a NYCC badge to get into:
iFanboy and Shirts for a Cure are throwing an epic party at Idle Hands Bar on Friday, October 12th from 9:00 PM till close with comic book stars Rick Remender and Jerome Opeña DJing.
Brian K. Vaughan, Fiona Staples, Sina Grace, Justin Jordan, and Tradd Moore are set to appear at Image Comics/Multiversity’s Party on Friday night at Houndstooth Pub.
The cast of SyFy's Lost Girl will make a special in-store appearance at J & R Music World on Friday, October 12, at 6:00 PM.
Robert Kirkman, creator of The Walking Dead, will sign copies of the new Walking Dead novel with Jay Bonansinga at Barnes and Noble in Union Square on Friday October 12, 2012 at 7:00 PM.
And, Rhinestone Gorilla revives its Animaniacs Burlesque Musical for one-night-only on Friday October 12, 2012 at 9:00 PM, at the Helen Mills Theater with a special guest performance by Rob Paulsen, the voice of Yakko and Pinky.
