Travel Contest Alert: Travelocity's $65,000 Round-The-World Trip

If the travel budget is looking a little low this season then it just might be time to sharpen your sweepstakes skills, as Travelocity is looking to give away quite a sweet prize. The online travel broker is going all-in with their garden gnome and, to celebrate, they're giving away something a little bit bigger than the typical vacation. That’s because this prize is going to be valued at right around $65,000—nice.

The grand prize of this latest "Gnome Nabbed" campaign is a trip around the world for you and a buddy. You won’t know where you’re going until you’re there, but Travelocity is planning for you to visit six different destinations between November 29 and December 23, and you’ll be back just in time for Santa.

To enter, you'll need to create a video—no more than sixty seconds in length—basically describing why you deserve to be nabbed and whisked away on this $65K trip. The panel of gnome judges must receive entries before October 20, so you still have plenty of time to prepare, plan, and publish your entry. Finalists will be announced at the beginning of November, but in the interim you’re free to vote for your favorites—good luck!

You’re probably pretty familiar with Travelocity and their gnome at this point, but if you’re not—he’s pictured above. He’s also been popping up in some new commercials, and he’ll even be hanging out this week in Madison Square Park in Manhattan to chat about his favorite website and this new travel contest.
