· Thai Airways' first A380 takes flight: Not only did Thai fly a brand new A380 from Airbus' HQ in Toulouse, France last week, but they're just about to begin commercial service between Bangkok and Hong Kong plus Bangkok-Singapore next week. It's a beautiful purple-liveried plane, with even more purple on the interior. For more, our buddies at Australian Business Traveller were onboard and will have their own photos up soon, but the official press images are posted, as is the news that economy includes a baby-free zone!
· ANA adds Seattle to their 787 destinations: October 1st was a pretty fun day for Dreamliner enthusiasts as both LAN and ANA got jiggy with it. LAN's news had South America psyched, but North America got some action as well, for ANA began flying between Tokyo-Narita and Seattle. Even the plane was brand new; this was its first revenue flight!
· Singapore Airlines launches a YouTube channel: Look, Singapore Airlines planes are beautiful things; we love staring at them at airports, flying in them across oceans and, yes, even drooling a bit over details online. Now they're just making all that easier by launching an official YouTube channel with footage featuring everything from "...behind-the-scenes workings, cabin experiences, iconic commercials to milestone events."
