Iron Chef Michael Symon is Cooking Up a Little Something Special for Pittsburgh Airport

If you’re an Iron Chef it’s clear that you are more than half-way decent at cooking, but it also means that you have a passion for restaurants—especially those at the airport. Cat Cora is already slinging stuff in San Francisco and Houston, and now Michael Symon is planning to do something similar.
Bar Symon is headed to Pittsburgh International Airport as soon as this May, and the plan is to ensure that hungry travelers are well fed and are provided with something a little more substantial than a bag of pretzels and a Diet Coke. We’re most looking forward to taking a crack at the restaurant’s "Lola Burger," which will be topped with a fried egg and pickled red onions.
Chef Symon is a big CLE flyer—he calls Cleveland home—so we wouldn’t be too surprised to hear of another outpost arriving at Cleveland Hopkins Airport before too long. It sounds like Food Network ought to fire up some sort of Iron Chef: Restaurant Edition episode before too long. They’re more than welcome to invite us along as taste testers—we’re pretty much experts.
