This year's New York Film Festival main slate features 27 films including George Clooney's The Descendants and My Week With Marilyn, which stars Michelle Williams as Marilyn Monroe. Guess what? You can be part of the festival, if you're available later this month.

NYFF is currently looking for volunteers to do various jobs during the festival which runs from Sept. 30 to Oct. 16 in New York City. Available positions include Red Carpet Volunteers who will escort talent prior to premieres, Still Photographers who will cover various events, and Special Events Assistants who will help out with galas and dinners.

You can apply to be a volunteer by registering at FilmLinc.com and filling out an online application.

NYFF will also host a Volunteer Orientation Meeting on Wednesday, September 7, from 10 to 11:30am at the Furman Gallery, 165 W. 65th St in New York City. The meeting is open to the public and will provide more information about open positions and how to become a volunteer.
