You’ll need to download the Foursquare or Facebook app to you preferred mobile device—they’re available for most, if not all of them—and you can then start exploring the airport. Check-in on your phone in each of the airport’s five different terminals, andlike magiccoupons and other savings will pop-up onto your phone to share what’s available only a few steps away.
At first the airport plans to offer different opportunities at around 85 spots including Starbucks, Auntie Anne's Pretzels, Brookstone, and of course Hudson News. Even if you’ve never used one of these social networking programs it won’t be too hard to check it out, as the airport is even planning a whole bunch of advertisements and marketing swag to promote this new service.
Over the next few weeks they’ll even be sending out some brand ambassadors into the terminals to explain how the different systems and apps work, as well as to hand out some freebies; be on the lookout at DFW!
