This week the Boeing 787 Dreamliner got one step closer to flying around the globe thanks to All Nippon Airways, as the very first 787 scheduled for delivery finally arrived in Japan. There's still lots to do before the plane is officially delivered, but it's still exciting to see the plane get a little bit closer to ferrying plenty of passengers instead of technical equipment and engineers.

Over the weekend the plane touched down at Tokyo's Haneda Airport, and this week it's going to be pretty busy as Boeing will be working with ANA to teach their pilots all the tricks, tips, and techniques needed to fly the brand new bird. The plane will probably be doing its thing in and around Tokyo to practice domestic routes, and it will give maintenance crews and ground workers a chance to to do their thing with the 787 as well.

It was a nine-hour trip from Seattle to Tokyo, and it sounds like some of the pilots on board really enjoyed some of the plane's new features, like the higher oxygen concentration and improvements in cabin pressurization. After this week's tests are done it sounds like the plane will be heading back to Seattle to do some more stuff, but at this point it might only be a month or so before the first 787 finally calls Japan home.

Good Plane

Boing is very impressive, delivered such good plane for Japan. The features like higher oxygen concentration and improvements in cabin pressurization bring in extreme comfort for passengers. I like it.
