An integral part of a balanced Brit breakfast: the McBacon Roll

We will fully admit to having a favorite McDonald's location in London. It's a little one nearby the Marble Arch tube stop, and it sits on the historic location of infamous gallows used for 500 years...until the world decided to kill people with carbs instead of nooses.

As intriguing as this one is, London is about to get an even more controversial McDs in one year, for the occasion of the 2012 Olympic Games. According to the Guardian, the Olympics McDonald's will be appropriately Olympics-sized:

Metres from where famous athletes will strain every sinew to win their medals, up to 1,500 people will be able to dine in the biggest McDonald's yet built. The two-storey, 3,000 sq-metre, diner will be one of four McDonald's restaurants built in and near the Olympics park in east London. There will be two public eateries, one in the athlete's village, one in the media centre.

How many meals do they plan to serve during the month-long Olympics and Paralympics alone? Oh, just some 1.75 MILLION. There's no word yet on whether or not the golden arches will introduce special menu items at the location, but who wants to bet they will? "The 20-piece 'Bronze Medal McNuggets' for take away, please."
