Summer in Miami Means Spa Month: Our Top Six Deal Picks

Humidity. Hordes of families and low-season bargain seekers. Thunderstorms. Rain. Yes, this is summer in Miami. But 'tis also the season to get your spa on, as Miami Spa Month is now underway.

The Restaurant Week-esque promotion, organized by the city's tourism board, actually runs for two months, but let's hold the 'can't they count in Miami?' jokes and just get to the good stuff, hmmm? That would be the $99 treatments—available at participating spas from South Beach to Sunny Isles—from now through August 31.

You can peruse the list of spas here—most of them are located inside Miami's best known hotels, which will help with your summer getaway planning. Being able to drift from your hotel room to the pool to the spa and back to the pool is one of the true joys of destination resorts, no?

Here is our shortlist of Six Miami Spa Month Deals Worth Sweating For:

· The Standard Miami: Because it's one of South Beach's sexiest and most relaxed hotels, spas, and pool scenes. (Yes, it manages to be both at the same time.) The Spa is offering five different options for Spa Month, including a 100-minute Hamam Spa Ritual. Strolling the grounds in your spa robe and lounging in the swinging chairs post-sauna is a local ritual. [Spa Month deal not available on Saturdays.]

·

ELLE Spa: Nestled inside the Eden Roc Renaissance Hotel, it's the newest spa on the beach. And, yes, it's ELLE as in the magazine. The offerings here include an Essential Facial that uses Decleor products, a Full Body Recharge exfoliation treatment, and (even though it's not listed on the website) a 50-minute Swedish massage. The best part is access to this very ELLE Decor-like relaxation room. Spa guests may also use the hotel's numerous pools. [Excludes Saturdays.]

· The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Miami: This makes our list for being huge, being super high-end, and for its showers that make you feel like you're in the rainforest, chirping frogs and all. Spa Month specials here include a massage, facial, or an anti-aging manicure and pedicure. Guests also receive free valet parking.

· The Spa at The Setai: Another posh one worth trying when you can get through the door for just $99 (plus tax and gratuity). Spa suites have ocean views, private baths and steam rooms. Plus, The Setai is offering an awesome range of nine different treatments for Spa Month. [Excludes Saturdays.]

· Acqualina Spa by ESPA: This one is worth the drive to Sunny Isles. It's massive and trawling through its labyrinth of rooms, saunas and ice fountains feels other-wordly. They're only offering two Spa Month options, a massage and a facial, but ESPA products are rich and luxurious, and you get access to the spa's private pool deck. [Excludes Saturdays.]

· Exhale Mind Body Spa at EPIC Hotel & Residences: We love the laidback feel of this still-new spa in downtown Miami and we are fans of their trademark Core Fusion workouts. For Spa Month, Exhale Miami is doing neat combos of its Mind Body classes with massages and facials. You can even opt for a 1 Month Membership of Unlimited Core Fusion and Yoga classes + manicure/pedicure. If you're going to be in Miami for the summer, we can't think of a better way to get fit for $99. [Excludes Saturdays.]

As you can tell, not all Spa Month deals are available on Saturdays so check the fine print when planning your appointments. And remember to tip your therarpist! Gratuity is not included in the 99 bucks.
