Octomom's In-Flight Nightmare Becomes an Argument for Banning Kids from Business Class

We kind of forgot about Nadya Suleman—AKA Octomom—and that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. However, after an appearance on Today last week she’s back in our minds because she’s now taking on air travel. Her appearance on the morning program was pretty awkward, as her kids ran loose all over the set. Ann Curry kind of stopped the interview a couple times and actually chased after a couple of the kids who ran behind different set pieces.

Apparently the real fun began on the way home on the family’s trip home from JFK to LAX. According to the experts over at TMZ, her American Airlines flight was already delayed by a couple of hours, so by the time boarding rolled around her kids were already pretty ripe and ready to get home.

They were seated in business class—we’ll assume NBC paid for that—and the presence of 12 rambunctious children didn’t go too well for one fellow passenger. Kristen Johnston—best known for being on 3rd Rock From The Sun—mouthed off to Octomom and kind of told her to get more help if she couldn’t control her army of children.

Unfortunately no in-flight punches were thrown, and it sounds like Kristen Johnston ended up taking a different flight back to the West Coast. After seeing Octomom on Today we can only imagine what all those kids were like on an airplane. If we were ever on a flight with them we probably would switch to a different flight as well—no matter what the change fee would set us back.

octomom

wow the kids have grown up, last I read about octomom they were babies!

Octomom's kids in biz class? No, but...

I don't think it's unreasonable to bring 1 or 2 of your kids in biz class. Sure, it might be setting them up for a lifetime of disappointment when they get out of college and have no job and can't fly biz class anymore but putting a ban on kids in biz class is not the answer.
