The restaurant offers a warm, sophisticated-looking dining room with big-picture windows, brick walls, an open kitchen and hardwood floors. The brunch menu changes week to week—don't worry, those doughnuts are staples—to make use of fresh, seasonal ingredients from local producers. If the popular chicken and waffles is among the offerings, snag them. Unlike a lot of other joints that serve the dish, the chicken is crispy, not greasy.
You'll also be able to find creative comfort food like bread pudding with proscuitto, mozzarella, almonds and honey; an asparagus, bacon and Gruyere quiche; or a griddled poundcake with cream cheese. There are usually some more lunch-oriented items on the menu, but stick to the breakfast dishes for the most soul-satisfying meals. But don't leave without ordering that doughnut.
