Where to Celebrate the Mavericks' NBA Championship Win in Dallas Tomorrow

Congratulations to the Dallas Mavericks on becoming this year’s NBA champions after they won game six Sunday evening in South Florida against the Miami Heat. The team has already been out partying and celebrating in South Beach—apparently living it up at LIV nightclub at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach. Which is a little funny—if we do say so ourselves—because that’s where LeBron James’ mom got arrested just a few months ago for slapping a valet (guess that means no tip!)

The team is now back in Big D and is getting ready to celebrate with the city this Thursday. Of course there’s going to be a parade—and probably more—and we’re expecting quite a celebration since owner Mark Cuban is paying for the whole shindig. Expect everyone from Jason Kidd and Dirk Nowitzki to the city’s mayor to be in attendance.

It looks like the fun will begin around 10am local time near the Dallas Convention Center. We’re betting there will be a pretty big crowd in attendance, so it’s probably smart to get there well before 10am along with something a little extra in your coffee—and we don’t mean cream—in preparation for the celebration. The city is expecting like 250,000 fans, so they're allowing everyone to start staking out a spot at around 7am.

Things will twist and turn through the city’s center—which the Dallas Observer details here—but all will come to an end at the American Airlines Center. Mavericks officials are even expected to hold some sort of party inside the area at the conclusion of the parade, but unfortunately it sounds like it's some kind of ticketed event for season ticket holders and other VIPs.

For those in the area who can't skip out of work there's always the television. We're thinking local channels will be all over the coverage, and it will also be broadcast on FOX Sports Southwest.
