Tweet of the Week: Christian Louboutin, The Seychelles and The Royal Honeymoon

We love Tuesdays. Why, you ask? Because the day brings many travel tips and quips as "Travel Tuesday" on Twitter, and we're going to share our favorite with you. Got an avid travel twitterer we should follow? Let us know.

Oh boy. It's been 11 or so days since the Royal Couple of Prince William and Kate Middleton tied the knot in Westminster Abbey and they're finally off on honeymoon. As of this morning, word trickled out that the duo were in the air en route, and by afternoon the destination was spilled: The Islands of the Seychelles. Which island in particular hasn't been revealed, though the focus is on either Fregate for its extreme privacy or Desroches, owing to the fact that they've already been there in the past. We kind of like the name of Anonyme Island, but odds are it doesn't have the $5,000+ nightly villas of the previous two.

Of course this news has brought about a rash of tweeting. Many people choose to say the usual "there's children dying around the world and this couple is having a lavish honeymoon" stuff, and this is mixed in with people praising the islands or wishing to be able to go there someday themselves.

There's hardly any actual knowledge of the islands being shared, but then not very many people are fortunate to fly to these bastions of super-luxe living north of Madagascar. Instead, we rely on official news to tell us how pretty the places are. @gmanzini, a writer based in Sao Paolo, is trusting The Guardian for the best analyzation of the Royal Honeymoon choice:

"Seychelles, where the royal newlyweds are believed to be honeymooning, is the Christian Louboutin of barefoot luxury."

So, so true and well said (even if it is a quote).
