You will be able to chow down on three-course meals that go for $24 or $36 per person. Tax, drinks and gratuity aren't included in the deal. Try going to Copley's on Palm Canyon on Cary Grant's former estate. The restaurant, which dishes out contemporary American fare, will serve Hawaiian ahi tacos, pan-seared Scottish salmon and jumbo scallops with Thai-curry sauce and lemon and lavender-scented pound cake with fresh berries and basil ice cream.
If you're into Palm Springs' celebrity past, dine at Melvyn's, (a Jaunted personal favorite!) which is tucked inside the Ingleside Inn. Elizabeth Taylor, Clark Gable, Marlon Brando, Frank Sinatra, John Travolta and Cher have all noshed there. You can go to eat lobster ravioli with chardonnay-cream sauce, filet mignon pepper steak prepared tableside and a chocolate bomb glace over ice cream with flambe.
Another foodie fave is Johannes, which creates Euro-Austrian-Asian fusion. Adventurous diners should drool over Johannes' Restaurant Week menu: escargots and rabbit with garlic-herb sauce in puff pastry, Australian grass-fed kangaroo loin and the popular wiener schnitzel.
Make a vacation out of Restaurant Week, which will also offer hotel and sightseeing specials on its website.
