Last-Minute Kentucky Derby Tickets are Only $40

We're less than a week away from the Kentucky Derby, or as we prefer to think of it this year, the second time in a month when we'll be permitted to wear big, stupid hats (the first being The Royal Wedding). Although it's a tad too late to score the best boxes where the mint juleps come served in proper silver cups, there's plenty of tickets left for the infield, aka general admission, for the big horserace on Saturday, May 7.

The cheapest tickets are currently commanding $40 each on StubHub, and last-minute deciders should be able to buy them at the gate too. Two-day packages begin at only $80 for the Kentucky Oaks and Derby, and the grandstand even has availability , starting from $350 and going as high as $3,100 for the Upper Clubhouse.

Regardless of whether you make it to Churchill Downs or not, you can tune in to watch the 137th Kentucky Derby live on TV. The race is scheduled to start at 6:24 PM ET, so set your iPhone alert now.
