· United:
A little bit of regional jet service never hurt anyone, so that’s why we need to fill you in on how you can now access Lubbock, Texas. We’re sure they’ve got a tourist board or something to fill you in on what to do, and now you can get there with a new nonstop option right into Denver thanks to United. The new flights started last weekend and will run two times per day. United hasn’t been to Lubbock since 1997, so this is definitely a welcome announcement for those who call the Lone Star State home.
· EasyJet:
Now and then we have mentioned some of the million different options EasyJet offers in and around Europe, but now that the weather is starting to heat up we wanted to pass along a friendly new route reminder. London-Gatwick recently got service to Bologna, Italy and they’ll be headed to Seville, Spain in just a couple weeks. Liverpool also has several new options including Brussels, Gibraltar, and Tallinn, Estonia. However, our pick for a cheap weekend getaway has to be LGW to Amman, Jordan. Starting at just $150 each way it certainly is a little different than just hitting up another random city in Europe.
· American Airlines:
We knew American Airlines was busy getting their Shanghai service from Los Angeles prepared for launch, and it looks like now the planes are finally flying back and forth. Even if you don’t call SoCal home, don't worry; American has a bunch of new regional routes as well, ones that can get you to LAX for a trip across the mighty Pacific. Houston, Phoenix, Oklahoma City, Albuquerque, Boise, El Paso, Salt Lake City, Sacramento, and Tucson are the new cities that will be getting nonstop service to Hollywood. If you’ve been putting off getting together all that paperwork for your Chinese visa—hurry up!
· Delta:
The biggest little city in the world is about to get a little larger thanks to a new flight into the Twin Cities of Minnesota. As you could probably guess this is a Delta flight, and the new option will start beginning on July 1. The flights from Reno, Nevada are timed to get to Minnesota in the early evening, so connections onward to places like London and Amsterdam are now accessible with just one stopover. Delta is sending a Boeing 737-800 to serve the new route, so expect plenty of WiFi up in the air once you reach your cruising altitude.
