Food truck fans will also be chomping at the bit to have dishes from a number of can't-miss trucks. The Grilled Cheese Truck turns comfort food up a few notches with cheesy mac and rib, mac and cheese with barbecue pork and caramelized onions stuffed between two slices of bread, and or subbing double-cream Brie, fig paste and almonds for regular cheddar. The Lobsta Truck brings a piece of New England to SoCal with its signature lobsta rolls—fresh lobster meat on a toasted split-top roll—clam chowder and Cape Cod chips.

The racetrack held its inaugural food truck fest back in January and was overwhelmed with the response, so this go-around, organizers tripled the food trucks. There also will be a gastropub, wine bar and beverage stations sprinkled throughout the infield.

Of course, the event won't be horse-racing-free. A 10-race card will be featured at the festival. There also will be live music, and pony rides, face painting and carnival games for the kiddies. A $5 admission charge will get you into the fest; kiddie offerings will cost a couple of bucks more. The festival will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the first race post time at 12:30 p.m.
