TCM to Take Classic Films (and Their Stars) on a 10-City US Tour
If you, like us, are a sucker for classic black-and-white flicks, you usually have two options: Netflixing it or hopefully catching something good on Turner Classic Movies. Now you have a third choice: The TCM Classic Movies Festival is touring around the U.S. and screening cinema's best classics for free. The fest runs from April 28 to May 1.
Not only will you be able to see great films like The Birds and The Manchurian Candidate on a big screen, but each screening will feature a star from the film.
The fest will go on a 10-city tour, stopping at Seattle, St. Louis, Long Island, Cleveland, Tampa, Austin, Chicago, San Francisco, New York and L.A. Academy Award winner Eva Marie Saint with be the special guest for The Birds, Angela Lansbury will represent for The Manchurian Candidate, Burt Reynolds will show up for Smokey and the Bandit, and Academy Award winner Shirley Jones will make it out for Elmer Gantry.
