Tweet of the Week: The President's Helipad

We love Tuesdays. Why, you ask? Because the day brings many travel tips and quips as "Travel Tuesday" on Twitter, and we're going to share our favorite with you. Got an avid travel twitterer we should follow? Let us know.

So the prez was in New York City today, and it was fine weather for some flying around in Marine One—the presidential helicopter. Since the majority of Obama's appointments were on the Upper East Side, he found the perfect, convenient parking spot for his chopper: Randall's Island in the East River.

Following Obama wherever he goes (yes, even Randall's Island) is Patricia Zengerle (@ReutersZengerle), who tweeted about the landing today, complete with the above photo:

Where does the president land in NYC? Wherever there's room. Randall's Island.

We're loving her live coverage, before anything even hits Reuters, as is the way of Twitter. And, in case you're curious to see exactly how convenient the President's makeshift helipad is, here it is on Google Maps.
