You don't think cool cars when you think about rentals, do you? Nope—unless, that is, you're renting from an agency that deals only in exotic cars, and brands each rental an "experience." Well, if you'd rather just make it easy and get a sweet ride from a company you already know (and who gives frequent flyer miles), Hertz has just introduced their "Adrenaline Collection," a line of "high performance muscle cars with designs and colors reminiscent of classic muscle cars."
Of course the rentals will cost more than, say, a PT Cruiser, but you'll be behind the wheel of a Dodge Challenger, Chevy Camaro SS or Ford Mustang GT Premium. If you need to compromise with your family or partner, Hertz also has a "Fun Collection," with a Mustang Convertible, Corvette Convertible and Jeep Wrangler, in addition to the Camaros and regular Mustangs.
For those who like to guzzle gas, there's also a Prestige Collection and for those who hate it, a Green Collection. Just note that they aren't available everywhere (check online first) and rentals will likely start around $150 per day for the premium vehicles. Still—could be a great birthday weekend road trip idea...
