Three Quick Ways to Score Frequent Flier Freebies on Facebook

Facebook is more useful than just stalking junior high school sweethearts, as now airlines are offering a chance to score some freebies. Sure frequent flier mile giveaways aren�t going to get you to Japan or Jakarta for free anytime soon, but any boost in your mileage bank account is welcome. So check out a few airlines giving away the goodies for free through social media, but remember to be nice and "Like" them first:

· American Airlines:
Not too long ago we were chatting about how American Airlines was using Twitter and Facebook specifically for their AAdvantage program. We wondered what the heck their Mystery Miles page was all about, and now we know. Provide your frequent flier number�and be their friends on Facebook�and you�ll be given some free miles. Freebies run from 100 to 100,000 miles. Unfortunately we only scored 100, but you have until March 31 to try for yourself.

· JetBlue:
You have to act quickly on this one, as the fun only runs through TODAY. Take Facebook to the next level with Facebook Places and JetBlue. Just sign up here to connect your Facebook account with the JetBlue promotion, and then when you are at an airport where JetBlue does their thing, check into Facebook Places�boom�25 free TrueBlue points. Check-in five times and you can even score a $100 coupon off a vacation package, so get your fingers ready for some furious Facebook-ing. They promise more for the future, so keep checking back with them (and us!)

· Cathay Pacific:
Alright this isn�t exactly free frequent flier miles, but it�s still a chance at some free travel�some especially awesome free travel. We mentioned it before, but this is the beginning of the last week to enter. Just befriend Cathay Pacific on Facebook�if you don�t know how to do this ask you son/daughter/neighbor�s kid�and then plan your dream itinerary on the airline. Videos and photos are more than welcome, but a simple story will get you a decent chance as well. Just don�t make it too good, because we�re going to be jealous of the winner big-time.
