It's Peanut Butter Jelly Time
If one of your go-to comfort foods is a peanut-butter and jelly or anything topped with the delicious peanutty spread, be prepared to drool at the "Nutropolitan Museum of Art", the "World's First PBJ Art Exhibit", in New York City's Openhouse Gallery March 4 to 6.
To celebrate National Peanut Month in March, the free exhibit will feature 365 hunger-inducing peanut-butter photos by Theresa Raffetto, with food styling done by Patty White. You'll see every kind of PB concoction imaginable, topped with everything from marshmallows to sardines to fruit.
And in case it all makes you a little famished, you'll get a complimentary jar of PB from event organizer Peanut Butter & Co., an NYC sandwich shop that specializes in the spread, churning out peanut butter with white chocolate and PB with fiery spices. An extra incentive to go: For every jar the shop gives out, one will be donated to the Food Bank for New York City. Plus, the Van Leeuwan Artisan Ice Cream food truck and Treats Truck will be parked outside the exhibit serving peanutty goodies on March 5 and 6, respectively, to sate your cravings.
