Before catching a flight to Hong Kong, our own Juliana Shallcross snooped around the lounge, and had this to say:
The Cathay Pacific lounge at SFO is located just past security to the right. You have to take an elevator up there and walk down a long hallway, but when you see the poster cutout of the Cathay Pacific flight attendant, you know you've arrived. The lounge is not as impressive as the Hong Kong ones, but that's hard to top anyway.
Still, this new lounge had several similar design elements as the HK lounges, like the pods [Solus chairs] where you can eat and work but definitely not sleep. There were plenty of computers, plenty of seating, plenty of outlets (each side table had two) and shower rooms for those who need to rinse off before their long-haul flights. The snack offerings were so-so but the lounge served made-to-order dan dan noodles in a spicy peanut broth, which was delicious.
To access the lounge, you must be traveling in Cathay Pacific First or Business Class, or be members of Cathay’s Marco Polo Club with Silver or higher status, or be Oneworld members with Sapphire or higher status.

Dan dan noodles, a Cathay lounge standard
Disclosure: We accessed the lounge as a guest of Cathay Pacific, but all photos & opinions are our own.
